After the customer is obtained you are responsible for customer care and how the cleint feels about our service. The impression that they develop about you will directly effect their thoughts about our company as a whole. It is expected that you will always communicate cleary, in a pleasant and courteous manner, to efficiently schedule material pick-ups and equipment drop-offs. Managing the fleet by optimizing equipment, route, and driver efficiency.  Setting up the daily routes and schedules for the drivers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain an accurate listing of all customers, including complete name, address, telephone number, full name of contact person, and accurate up-to-date records of contracts for services provided to each customer including the goods and services to be provided and the prospective schedule of services
  • Optimize the cost-effectiveness of the Company O.T.R. fleet through proper scheduling and management
  • Optimize the cost-effectiveness of the Company drivers through proper scheduling and management
  • Communicate and inter-act with customers to efficiently schedule material pick-ups, and equipment drop-offs
  • Generate the necessary paperwork and vouchers for customer activities and driver activities each day
  • Perform all necessary filing in an orderly and timely fashion
  • Answer incoming telephone calls concerning Customer complaints and service concerns
  • Answer incoming emergency telephone calls and re-direct those calls to the proper person
  • Perform any other task, job, or function as assigned by the Office Manager, Controller, C.O.O., or President

Job Training, Qualifications, and Requirements

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be experienced in dispatching procedures and functions, driver scheduling activities, effective routing procedures and methods, experience in supervision, experience in problem-solving activities, and experience in the customer service arena, with no need for additional job training in these areas.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty, as defined herein, satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.

 

  • Education and/or Experience
  1. A high school diploma or GED from an accredited school or technical curriculum
  2. three to five years related experience and/or training, or
  3. equivalent combination of education and experience
  4. Microsoft Word, Excel, and modest typing proficiency required
  5. Logistics and Scheduling skills and experience required
  • Language Skills
  1. Ability to read, write, and interpret schedules; communicate on the telephone effectively with customers; communicate ideas and proposals both verbally and in writing
  • Mathematical Skills
  1. Ability to work with mathematical concepts and statistical data, plus apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Reasoning Ability
  1. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables, along with an ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  1. CDL Driver's license preferred
